The Glory of Christ- John 1:14
14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.
And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us. Not only are these words true, they are significant. John began this chapter by stating that in the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God.
The eternal God, who is Spirit, and exists outside of His creation, came into His creation in the Person of Jesus Christ. Paul tells us that Jesus is the image of the invisible God and that all the fullness of the Deity dwells in Him.
The glorious Christ came into this world with His grace and truth. God’s people (the Jews) beheld His glory. However, some rejected the glory that they beheld.
12 But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God (John 1:12).
God’s truth is that the only way to be redeemed from our sins is by God’s grace through faith in the life, death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Jesus came into the world to reveal the Father to us and to seek and to save those that were lost. And the truth is, we are all lost without Jesus. It is not the will of God that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
If you hear God’s voice telling you to repent, place your faith in Christ. He came into this world to save you.
